CHARMIAN was built circa 1905 as an Admiralty pinnace. She is reputed to have served on Dreadnoughts during the First World War and returned to Portsmouth with WW1 shells as ballast.

CHARMIAN is currently located in Portsmouth where she is in the care of Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust in Boathouse 4 of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
